Elizabeth started singing at a very early age alongside her piano and saxophone tuition. As a student, Elizabeth performed with the LCoM Chamber choir, Symphonic Wind Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra and solo recitals in venues such as Leeds Cathedral, Wakefield Cathedral and Leeds Town Hall. In her younger years she performed chorally in San Rufino Cathedral, Assisi and City Temple, London. Her musical experience is not purely performance based, as a tutor Elizabeth spent seven months in Hong Kong teaching singing, piano and ensemble performance. A little closer to home, Elizabeth leads local community choirs and been the Musical Director for amateur dramatic productions and teaches private vocal and instrumental tuition.
Elizabeth’s versatility as a musician is evident through her regular performance of many styles such as classical, opera, choral, jazz, musical theatre, gospel, folk and pop.
Although a mezzo-soprano, she is currently the Alto Choral Scholar at Bradford Cathedral, where her duties involve performing, touring and teaching. As an actor, Elizabeth joined Proper Job Theatre Company in 2016 and is currently cast as the lead in Medusa by Helen Mort, a new play that will begin touring in 2017. She is delighted to be a part of the AFO family and a great member of our team
